  • Better Together

    Better Together is programming designed for Adults with Disabilities, but open to all who wish to participate in an effort to make a more inclusive community. All programs are free to Adults with disabilities. Members in the community are asked to donate a free-will donation for their participation. Events will take place at locations listed and will be from 4-6pm. November 14th - Thanksgiving Bingo at Rippleside 4:00-6:00pm December 12th - Christmas Party with Santa at Rippleside 4:00-6:00pm February 13th - Valentine's Dance at Ripple Center 4:00-6:00pm March 13th - March Music at Rippleside 4:00-6:00pm April 10th - K9 demonstration at Rippleside time TBD May 8th - Gardening and Mother's Day plants at DAC-Works
  • Live Cooking Demonstrations

    Learn about different cooking techniques or different cultural cuisine in a live demonstration. Watch the instructor prep and cook, then enjoy the final product.
  • Family, Friends, and Neighbor (FFN) Play and Learn

    Who are Family, Friends, and Neighbor (FFN) Caregivers? They are a large and important group of Minnesotans who provide childcare for the children of family members, friends, or neighbors on a regular basis. Are you or someone you know a FFN Caregiver?? Then this event is for you! Come to the Aitkin Children's Center for an Open-House style Play and Learn with the children you care for. We will have toys, crafts, and activities ready for them to explore, as well as valuable information for the Caregivers to take home. The first 10 Caregivers to register for each event will receive a gift. This program is grant-funded and completely FREE!
  • Barn Quilt Wood Sign

    Make a Barn Quilt from wood that is stained and pieced together. Wood pieces will be pre cut and ready to stain. Final size will be between 2-21/2 feet in diameter. The class will focus on color, stain, design and assembly.
