Adaptive Tai ChiAdult ProgrammingStarting SoonAdaptive Tai Chi is flowing with music implementing Tai Chi and Qigong movements and using Tai Chi principles of movement and breath. In this class you learn a variety of moves, relax and breathe. Benefits reported with continued practice of Tai Chi movements are better balance and circulation, reduced stress, regulated blood pressure, improved focus, creativity and flexibility. This inner discipline can be done by anyone. It can be done standing or sitting. Tai Chi is easy and fun to do! Comfortable clothing recommended. Intensity level – Low to moderate Instructor Information – Jamie Erickson is an accredited Tai Chi Chih instructor with a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University, Minnesota. They are a large and important group of Minnesotans who provide childcare for the children of family members, friends, or neighbors on a regular basis. Are you or someone you know a FFN Caregiver?? Then this event is for you! Come to the Aitkin Childrens Center for an Open-House style Play and Learn with the children you care for. We will have toys, crafts, and activities ready for them to explore, as well as valuable information for the Caregivers to take home. The first 10 Caregivers to register for each event will receive a gift bag valued at over $50. This program is grant-funded and completely FREE! We will dive a little into some of the plant's rich history and use from many different countries, we will learn the basics on creating designs and using the henna, and learn where to find good supplies to make it yourself. If so, join us for foundational literacy skills classes that will: Teach you about reading skills progression, Give you fun activities that will help your child.
