Last spring, we were able to secure a grant that will allow us to open up our beautiful “Fab Lab” to the public! The grant is through Age-Friendly MN. Age-Friendly Minnesota is a collaborative statewide effort to make our systems and communities more inclusive of and responsive to older adults. It is part of a global movement to prepare for an aging population and ensure that older people are valued and integrated into communities at a new level. Over the course of the next year, we will be introducing different classes and projects that everyone is invited to participate in! If you are over the age of 65, then the class is FREE! To start things off, we will be doing different woodworking projects and using the high-tech embroidery machine! Come learn how new technology can pre-cut all the parts of a wood project in just a matter of minutes! You will get all the parts needed and then you can assemble and decorate as needed.
